Telica volcano- one of the amazing and active volcanoes
Active volcano craters are dangerous yet amazing. One such crater, Telica is situated in Volcan Telica Rota
Natural Reserve, north east Nicaragua. Many tourists visit the place every year to see the crater. It has erupted
many times, in fact so many times that there are no plant coverings on the slopes. It is conical shaped and multi
layered. San Jacinto, a neighboring town is best place for starting the hike up to the volcano. San Jacinto is well
known for the small geothermal power plant that is present here and the steaming hot pits of mud created by the
volcano.
